Derived from the Scots word ‘Virr’ meaning strength and vigour, our name reflects the energy we bring to talent management.
Virr Collective is a talent management agency based in London. Since launching in 2025, Virr has quickly earned a reputation as one of London's most dynamic talent agencies, built on exceptional industry relationships and a highly personalised approach to representation. While experiencing rapid growth, the agency has remained committed to the boutique values that set it apart from larger, more corporate organisations.
Across commercial, theatre, and screen, Virr has built a strong track record of securing leading roles for its clients, consistently positioning talent at the centre of high-profile productions and campaigns. Meet the team.
James Hall |Agent
After advancing to Senior Agent at North Artist Management and later refining his skills at Divergent Talent Group, James’ passion for talent management was very much unlocked. He had successfully managed clients from the point of submission through to contract negotiation, and had secured deals across commercial theatre and screen. At the age of 25, James traded in the nights in Soho for Spotlight submissions and so forth came Virr. Since then James has never looked back… (maybe once), and has been instrumental in navigating Virr to where it is today. James maintains a successful array of performing accolades in his own right.
Albeit, no longer as naive, nor 25, James has launched the careers of multiple (highly successful) actors both on stage and screen, whilst managing already established talent. Passionate about a ‘boutique’ model — James’ enthusiasm remains working with a select list of exciting graduates each year and guiding their initial steps into the industry.
Maximillian Race | Agent Assistant
Maximillian is a graduate of the Guildford School of Acting and has toured the UK and Europe with the Young Shakespeare Company, performing in Macbeth, Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has also featured in commercials for Nintendo and Just Eat. Max is the CEO of the Drama School League — a football league for Drama Schools around the country, with over 3,000 followers on Instagram — created to bring Actors and Drama School Students together across the industry through the love of Football. Max has recently stepped into the Agent world through the love of the industry. He loves pushing clients potentials and working hard for them across the board to see them thrive!
Danny Whelan | Agent in Musical Theatre
Danny brings over a decade of professional experience within the musical theatre industry, having built a successful career as a performer, teacher and director. After being awarded a full DADA scholarship to train at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, with credits including Bat Out of Hell, Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, An Officer and a Gentleman and White Rose, as well as commercial work with BOSE. Having experienced the industry from multiple perspectives and working alongside some of the leading creatives in the business, Danny has developed a strong understanding of both the artistic and professional demands placed on performers. Now joining VIRR as a Musical Theatre Agent, sharing the current team's ethos of both honest and personable representation.
